The River of Heaven and Goddess of Wisdom

30" X 32" serigraph Nut, the Egyptian goddess of Heaven, arches across the cosmos and gives birth to the sun each morning and devour it each night. In this print it is Isis who displays the power of the 'great goddess' enveloped by the heavenly arch of Nut, the first and all-encompassing female. As the Tree of Life, Isis holds the keys of life (in her left hand) and Eternity (in her right hand). These are symbols of her regenerative power as mother of life and rebirth. Osiris, the sacrificed god, is shown as a mummy at the root of the Tree.
