Fire-Shine and Fire-Shade

$75.00

11" X 40" serigraph The story of Fire-Shine and Fire-Shade tells of two brothers (from an ancient Japanese book: Nihongi) who dwelled in different lands. Fire-Shine was a prince who had the luc-of-the-sea and could catch fish of narrow-fin and broad-fin. Fire-Shade was a prince who had the luck-of-the-mountain who could catch creatures of coarse hair and creatures of soft hair. There is an under sea journey where all the temptations and tests of any hero take place. The magic of this story is reflected in the print. We can see Fire-Shine angrily shining standing a top the great F=Sea-Fish's mouth with Fire-Shade reflecting him below inside the sea.
