It then goes back to 1956 and proceeds to give a year by year account of the growth, development and analogic tapestry of diverse types of work, such as organic sumie paintings, systems color paintings, I Ching drawings, archetypal paintings and mythological prints. 48 pages, four color Rowena Pattee Kryder, M.F.A.,Ph.D., is program director of Creative Harmonics Institute. She is also a mystic, a visionary artist and a mother. She has created two temples adorned with colored mosaics. She received her Ph.D. in cross cultural religions studies from Union Graduate School in 1986, and her M.F.A. and B.S. from the University of Oregon in 1961-62. She is author of twelve books and several films and videos as well as numerous articles. Her art has been exhibited widely in the US and Europe. Since 1966 she has studied patterns of myths and mysticism cross culturally. She currently works with groups in ritual, myth and creative harmonics (patterns of color, sound, movement and form). Her focus is cultural transformation through personal transformation in resonance with cosmic principles -- which process engenders social harmony, or "synarchy."
