SACRED SCIENCE OVERVIEW
The polarity of the orderly quality of Systems and mathematics with the randomness and often unpredictable Flow of Nature creates a horizontal axis on this diagram. This axis represents the predominant view of modern times -- that using the perceptual and cognitive function alone discovers "objective" reality. Theoretical science has a cognitive approach, and the experimental research of empirical science has a perceptual approach. When this axis alone is considered the basis of reality, a culture is absorbed in a civilization where the "means" (science and technology) is taken as the whole reality; and all else is considered merely "subjective".
The vertical axis between Spiritual Realities and Metaphorical Languages was more the predominant view in many previous ages and among indigenous peoples. Here Spiritual Realities are known from an intuitive and deep mind approach, often attained through rigorous yogic and spiritual disciplines. Scriptures, Art, Myths, and Imaginal Psychologies are the means of transmitting these realities to a culture.
What is needed today is a Sacred Science that integrates the two axes as means and meaning. When Spiritual Realities are seen as source, then empirical science and technology work with clear meaning, for they are the agents and processes of Spiritual Realities and of a culture's expression in the Arts. Without the integration of the two axes, we have a domination of one over the other. This creates revolutions, but not regenerative balance.
Cosmology, when known in its spiritual as well as astronomical and physical dimensions, is intermediary between Spiritual Realities and Systems. Cosmology is not merely about Big Bangs and physical energies, formulas and systems. It is about a direct attunement to Spiritual Realities. Divination is a way of revealing spiritual qualities about the Flow of Nature. This divine awareness needs expression which connects a culture to the source and gives it concrete manifestation. It is the Arts, through the use of metaphorical languages, that does this.
Sacred Geometry is another expression that links the spiritual to the material. Sacred Geometry is intermediary between Systems and Metaphorical Languages and is largely manifested in architecture, a culture's most spatially comprehensive art and science.
There are many more fields of study and human endeavors than can be given in this chart, but one can see here the wholeness and interrelationship of diverse disciplines. Such mapping can help keep perspective on the relationship of parts to the whole. From such perspective we can hope to lay the foundations for a more holistic education leading to the New Earth culture. If this wholeness of Sacred Science is not pursued, it is likely that science and technology will overpower Spiritual Realities and Metaphorical Languages, and destruction to the planet will take place. With Sacred Science as a foundation of new culture, the directives are found, and the ecstatic nourishment is provided, for the guidance of planetary unfoldment.
Sacred Science Education
Sacred Science Education reveals the Divine archetypes in observation of phenomena. In the 18th century, subject and object were split in science due to favoring the more “objective” science of Newton over the holistic science of Goethe. Since then the world has floundered into more and more fragmented awareness, except for the principles of quantum physics, which again, begins to acknowledge the place of consciousness and the observer as well as objects of observation.
Also, secular science of the modern age takes empirical data with statistical analysis without awareness of the sacred inherent in creation. In the mathamatics of harmonics, it can be shown how the One becomes the many through overtones, which may be interpreted as the creative field that, through the transmission of Divine Principles, becomes the phenomena of creation.
In sacred science education we aim to give directives for embodying the essential codes of phenomenalism atoms to stars—so that we, as humans, can fulfill our role in the universe. That role is to activate awareness of the archetypes of phenomena so that, through our greatest potential, we can return all to Prime Source, the One, the first One of the divine “word,” or Logos. This great cycle is, in truth, a spiral of infolding and outfolding that is eternally in a process of evolution.
The return to the One is in consciousness of multiple dimensions of reality at each moment as evolution unfolds. Evolution is not in contradiction to creation, but is the means by which creation unfolds.
SACRED SCIENCE PROCESS
In Sacred Science you need a balance of contemplation and experimentation. In contemplation you begin to see root patterns—archetypes—the primary language of phenomena. Without seeing the archetypes or root patterns (often common elements) you have endless descriptions, a plethora of data with no fundamental way of understanding it.
Once you have insight from contemplation (after observation) you can begin to theorize, that is, to find a conceptual structure that emerges from your insights into the root patterns.
Theory poses a questions or a model of reality and then seeks to test the question or model with experiments. The experiment does need objectivity just as contemplation needs subjectivity.
Sacred science needs both subjectivity and objectivity. The objectivity of the experiment includes controls, methods of analysis, neutral observers, placebos etc.
When the data returns from the experiment and is analyzed, the you have to observe again and see if the data correspond with your question or model. If not, you need to recognize discrepancies, scrutinize both your theory and the data. This draws you further into contemplation.
In contemplation you can open up and be receptive to spirit.
The sacred part of sacred science comes in contemplation. Here you go into a deep inner process of insight into root patterns—archetypes. Sometimes, at this phase, one needs to let go of the whole experiment and be willing to start again. Ones question might change. A new theory or model might be conceived. One needs to be sensitive and open to new possibilities. Allow spirit in. You might even pray for insight!
The active phase of the sacred science process cycle is in theorizing, designing and executing experiments to test the theory and then observing the results. Evaluation moves you into the more subjective inner side of sacred science. Evaluation leads to contemplation of root patterns and contemplation, which is highly receptive to possibilities, leads to insight of what the greatest reality of the phenomena might be. Again, then you adjust your theory or possibly leave it a tentative reality or consider it a proven fact.
SACRED SCIENCE FOR CHILDREN
In Sacred Science Education, harmonics, number, sacred geometry, color and movement are aspects of one universal language. Children know and can discover aspects of this universal language in stages of their own development. It is my intention to provide videos, DVDs, exercise books and charts for parents and teachers to use with children of varied ages as a program to maintain wholeness and integrity through the early, critically formative years of life.
If humanity is to fulfill its purpose on earth, Sacred Science Education is essential for the young. Since this program is in its inception stage and most likely will emerge more fully around 2009-2011, I welcome donations, interested parents, teachers and people in diverse fields to contribute their input at this time. Please send an email for questions, or give an indication of what you’d like to contribute.
“Rowena has combined all the major cosmologies from human history into a coherent model of Being, embracing current understanding from physical and biological science within the deep mystical traditions of the world’s religions. Her artistic vision reveals the harmonies: in light and color, sound and music; unfolding the sacred geometry formed by the fundamental forces of the universe.”
—Dr. Bernard Williams, historian of science, Kansas
"Over the years past Rowena Pattee Kryder has proven to be one of the finest minds and artists depicting the spiritual traditions of humankind. I have known her for all these years and she has always continued to amaze me with her deep insights and powerful mystical artwork. In Robes of Light she explains with profound vision the meaning of the ancient Egyptian nine bodies of light sometimes referred to as the nine souls. Indeed Rowena sheds considerable light upon the spiritual light of ancient times. This book is a wonder and belongs with the great books of spiritual teaching such as the works of Manley P. Hall."
—Fred Alan Wolf, Ph.D., physicist and author of many books including, The Yoga of Time Travel and the audio CD Dr. Quantum presents: A User’s Guide to Your Universe
"Rowena has also remained a wholistic, whole brain perceiver, processor and producer, despite the turn in many of our societal knowledge centers toward specificity, specialization and reductionism.... I have been drawn to her work because she asks the "big question," as philosophy calls them, while she inclusively addresses pan-societal views that so few can even comprehend, let along document in word-smith theory AND skillful visual template. The resulting products of her intellectual reveries, her unique forays into the comprehension of knowledge, are not only about what something means, but what "stands under" that meaning, while, still engaging the artist's eye for essence of the aesthetic principles of beauty, symmetry, harmonics, fairness with balance and truth, with justice. For example, one of her “posters” has especially intrigued me, among many. In high school I noticed the odd shape of the chart of the elements in chemistry class, and played with a better image could be envisioned for our studies. Rowena went ahead and designed and produced a circular chart of the elements which makes much more sense, given the structure of atoms, and their circling electrons, given her mathematical specificity for atomic structure, which is incorporated into her visions."

"I wasn’t able to devote the kind of concentration ROBES OF LIGHT deserves, but just enough to see and say that it is an astonishing piece of work. The paintings are spectacular. Your text combines erudition with real spirituality - without ever descending into the airy-fairy...no mean feat! You are right that it’s not how I’d treat the subject but that’s fine. There’d be no need for you to do it if that’s how I’d do it!"
—John Anthony West, author of Serpent in the Sky and other works
